the washing is flecked,
white specked,
tissue in the pocket,
forgetfull little fingers,
i smile cause all too soon,
he'll be grown and gone,
and i'll miss all these little things.
he tells me if he were king of the world,
and could choose any mother,
he would pick me,
out of thousands.
then he wraps himself in his towel/cape,
and flies off thru the grass,
i flick the white globs to the ground,
happy to be doing 'mum' things,
on mothers day
